📰 AYC Newsletter | 2025 Vision Trip Special Edition
“A Vision Caught. A Generation Awakened.”
This July 25th to August 8th, AYC led a life-changing Vision Trip to South Korea, where Indigenous youth, along with several MKs (Missionary Kids) and PKs (Pastors’ Kids) from across Canada, encountered the heart of God in a powerful way.
Over the course of two weeks, a team of 10 young people from Vancouver Island, Yellowknife, and Vancouver traveled across the ocean to experience God’s global church, Korean history, and the power of a generation that has overcome brokenness through faith.

🔥 Holy Spirit Conference: Catching Fire in Worship
The journey began with the National Holy Spirit Youth Conference at Shingil Church in Seoul. For three days, over 1,200 Korean youth gathered to worship, pray, and cry out for the Holy Spirit. Our team stood among them, witnessing firsthand the fire and hunger for God that burns within the South Korean Church.
They didn’t just observe—they participated. Through worship and prayer, their own hearts were stirred. Many of them said,
“We want to bring this same fire back home to our communities.”

🇰🇷 Walking Through History: From Pain to Purpose
Following the conference, the team visited memorials and museums to learn about Korea’s painful history—war, colonization, poverty—and the miraculous restoration that followed. They were inspired by the resilience of the Korean people and the unwavering faith that helped rebuild a nation.
Stories of foreign missionaries who came with love, building orphanages, hospitals, and schools planted seeds of vision in the hearts of our youth. They began to see that restoration is possible—even for Indigenous communities that have faced deep hurt and loss.
The discipline and sacrifice of Korea’s older generation, who laid everything down for the sake of the next generation’s future, became a call to action. The youth began to say:
“We want to fight for our people like they did.”

💥 A Vision That Changes Everything
This year’s Vision Trip didn’t just offer memories—it planted a God-given vision that changed lives.
Several youth now feel called to attend Bible college, become leaders, and return home with a heart to serve and restore.
Each participant left Korea marked by God, saying they could never go back to Canada the same. A fire has been lit—and we believe this generation will rise to bring healing, purpose, and hope to their communities.
We give glory to God for what He has done, and we look forward with faith for what He will do through these rising leaders.

“하나님의 비전을 본 세대, 불이 붙다”
지난 7월 25일 부터 8월 8일까지, AYC는 캐나다의 원주민 청소년들과 MK(선교사 자녀), PK(목회자 자녀)들이 함께한 한국 비전트립을 통해 하나님이 준비하신 놀라운 여정을 경험했습니다.
2주간의 여정 동안, 밴쿠버섬·옐로나이프·밴쿠버에서 온 총 10명의 청소년이 한국을 방문하여, 세계 교회와 하나님의 역사, 그리고 회복의 가능성을 직접 눈으로 보고 마음에 새기는 시간을 가졌습니다.

🔥 성령집회: 예배 가운데 불이 붙다
비전트립은 서울 신길교회에서 열린 전국 성령 청소년 집회로 시작되었습니다.
전국 각지에서 모인 1,200여 명의 한국 청소년들과 함께 2박 3일 동안 찬양과 기도, 말씀 속에서 성령님의 임재를 깊이 경험했습니다.
우리 팀도 이 예배의 현장 한가운데에서 함께 기도하고 눈물 흘리며,
“이 불을 우리 공동체에도 가져가고 싶다”
는 고백을 하게 되었습니다.
많은 청소년들이 예배의 회복과 사명에 대한 도전을 받았습니다.

🇰🇷 고통을 지나 회복으로: 한국의 역사 속으로
집회 이후, 청소년들은 한국의 전쟁과 식민지 역사, 회복의 과정을 배우기 위해 다양한 기념관과 박물관을 방문했습니다.
그들은 한국이 전쟁과 가난, 폐허 속에서도 믿음과 연대, 노력과 희생을 통해 나라를 다시 세운 이야기에 깊이 감동했습니다.
특히, 한국에 복음을 전하고 고아원, 병원, 대학교를 세운 외국 선교사들의 사랑과 헌신은 우리 청소년들에게 “사랑과 선교, 그리스도의 회복”이 어떤 것인지를 보여주었습니다.
“한국의 이전 세대가 다음 세대를 위해 희생한 것처럼,
우리도 우리 공동체의 미래를 위해 싸우고 싶다”
는 고백이 청소년들의 입에서 흘러나왔습니다.

💥 삶을 바꾼 비전, 새로운 부르심
이번 비전트립은 단순한 여행이 아닌, 하나님이 주신 비전을 눈으로 보고 마음에 새긴 시간이었습니다.
많은 청소년들이 이 시간을 통해 신학교에 진학하고 싶다, 지역 공동체의 리더가 되고 싶다는 구체적인 부르심을 받았습니다.
그리고 모두가 고백했습니다:
“이제는 이전처럼 돌아갈 수 없다.
하나님께서 우리 마음에 불을 붙이셨다.”
2025년 AYC 비전트립을 통해 시작된 이 불씨는 단순한 기억이 아니라, 삶을 변화시키는 하나님의 부르심이 되었고, 이들은 그 불을 들고 다시 캐나다로 돌아갔습니다.
